Hi I'm Garrett

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for almost 8 years now and are the parents of three awesome little girls. I am currently in the third year of my residency in Florida and although work occupies a large part of my life, I still find time to hang out with my family, play tennis, run, keep up the yard work, occasionally fish, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of this church. While it was the only thing I knew growing up, there came a time in my life when I decided I needed to know for myself that this church is the true church of God. I was preparing for my mission for the church and did a lot of soul searching, wondering if my testimony of the church was solid enough before I tried to go out and convert others. My testimony has come slowly over time. I don't think I really have one of those "ah-ha" moments or crazy conversion experiences or anything wild. It has just been a slow, gradual process of learning to recognize the Holy Spirit and feeling closer to my Father in Heaven as I keep the commandments and study the gospel. The teachings of Christ's gospel and the guidance of the modern day prophets have shaped my life and I have been extremely happy as I heed their teachings.

How I live my faith

I like to think I live my faith every day in all I do. I try to be an example of a good disciple so that others will know that I believe in Christ. I also have been asked to teach a class of primary children every Sunday with my wife. This is my first experience in primary, and I like it. The kids keep things interesting and I like seeing how much they know about Christ at such a young age. In the past I have worked with the young men and Boy Scouts.
