Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a Mormon. I have an associates degree in culinary arts. I love to work on engines and cars. I work as a caterer.

About Me

Well i grew up in a family that despised the LDS church. I moved out when i was sixteen to pursue the teachings of the church. I became a member at seventeen. At the age of nineteen i tried to serve a mission but was found unfit to go. So at the age of twenty i married my beautiful wife in the St. George temple. And now i have a happiness that no other thing in this world can give you.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member because of the inspiration i got to read the Book of Mormon. After i read it i started praying about it. Nothing came at first. then one day i was sitting in class and i remembered that i had my Book of Mormon in my back pack. I asked if i could go out in the hall to read since my homework was finished. they allowed me and i went out and opened the book. I turned straight to moroni 10:1 and started to read. It told me that if i wanted to know for myself i should ask. I had thought in my mind that was what i had been doing. then a phrase struck me. A broken heart and contrite spirit. It was then i realized that i hadn't needed to know just was curious. So i studied even harder and developed the need to know if this book was the truth. Then one day i was up camping with some friends and i got the feeling that i should go out and read some more. so i found a nice quiet spot and started to read when i felt the need to pray. I asked my father in heaven if what was in the book was true. And He said yes. I felt a spirit come over me that i had never felt before. And i knew at that moment that this was the true church and i wanted to be a member of the truth.

How I live my faith

I try to live the gospel everyday. By never turning down a chance to do service. And by magnifying my calls i have in the church. I also attend the temple every month to remind myself what it is i promised to do. then spend the rest of the month trying to live up to those promises. No matter how tedious they appear. I also make attempts everyday to read the scriptures or some kind of gospel writing. Of course i am only human so i don't make all of my goals. But all that matters is that i devote myself to the gospel and everything will fall into place.
