Hi I'm Emily

I am a wife, mother, native Arizonian, music teacher, and a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, Im Emily. I am a young wife and mother. I teach part time as a general music teacher to kids from grades kindergarten through 7th. I love staying home with my little boy who is almost a year. My husbnad and i have worked our way through college and now a graduate degree. We think education is important and understand the importance of being self sufficient. Together we enjoy our families, going to the sand dunes, and walks at tempe town lake. I personally like shopping, decorating, and some crafting, if it's easy. I sing in a night choir and i enjoy singing with other people who are passionate about choral music like i am. I have a great life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, and at the age of eight i decided to get baptized. A lot of time went into my decision. I honestly was prepared to forsake the church if i didn't have a real, legitimate testimony and believed that the LDS church was the only true church. Luckily, i decided to get baptized, and after leaning on my parents testimony, i slowly gained a strong testimony of my own.

How I live my faith

I try to treat my family with love and respect. I live by the golden rule. I try to be perfect in the little things, like reading my scriptures and saying my prayers, these little things will help me be better about the big things like faith, hope and charity. When i am feeling bad about myself because of my shortcomings and daily struggles, the knowledge that Christ completed the atonement makes me happy. Daily reflection and repentance helps me to assess where i am in my personal progression. With the help from a loving God i can forgive myself, repent, and try again.
