Hi I'm Cam

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a missionary, movie critic, freestyle dancer, and I might be Batman. I'm a Mormon. Nuff Said.

About Me

I am a real boy! I do things most young men enjoy doing. I play Basketball and soccer, and can survive playing football. I enjoy playing video games with my friends and family, and I love to watch movies. I collect comic books and related merchandise, and am a die-hard Batman fan. I freestyle dance, and I love to be in battles/dance-offs at big dances. It is something that I actually apply myself in, and actively strive to improve. It is such a great feeling being on a dance floor, surrounded by people, popping and locking to the beat. I love it. My goal for the future is to graduate from college with a double major in Law Enforcement and Criminal Forensic Investigations. I plan to work as a Special Agent for the FBI and possibly join their Hostage Rescue Team. Nuff Said.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS Church. But even for those who grow up in the Church, there comes a time when everyone has to decide for themselves what to believe in. I could only live by the testimony of my parents for so long. I have come to find out for myself that the full Gospel of Jesus Christ has indeed been restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because I know the Book of Mormon to be true, and to be the Word of God. At first, my testimony did not come because I felt the presence of the Holy Ghost, but because I lived the principles taught in the scriptures, by representatives of Christ, and I felt happy. After living the laws and ordinances of the Gospel, I then had my testimony solidified by my recognizing that the Spirit was with me the whole time. This is Christ's plan for me. That will never change. Improvement and progression is what He wants for me, and I happily accept that.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full time missionary in Boise Idaho right now. The two great commandments God has given us is to love Him and love our neighbors, and serving a mission is the best way to show love for both. "By this shall man know ye are my disciples; if ye have love one to another." Loving service is the best way we can live our faith, as well as loving obedience to God's commandments. I am far from perfect, but I know that I am doing my best, and my Savior will make up for the rest.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Put simply, Jesus Christ did. He established His church during His mortal ministry. As prophesied by Christ and His prophets, His church and gospel in it's fullest was removed from the earth for a time. Through the prophet Joseph Smith, Christ has once again reached out to His people and restored His church and gospel to the earth as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
