Hi I'm Heather

I love learning new things. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am attending a university to get my bachelors in psychology and child development/family relations. I absolutely love school and love learning. I try and take all different types of classes to broaden my horizons. I plan on getting a masters in social work. I love children and want to help as many as I can. I play the clarinet in the marching band. I love music and I love playing it. Reading is another important thing in my life. I enjoy reading scriptures and books that I can learn from. My favorite color is orange and I love being crazy and wild (although I can be shy at first).

Why I am a Mormon

I think I always knew at a young age that being LDS was the right choice for me. My cousins tell me stories of how I questioned them until the early hours of the morning on the Book of Mormon. Even though I wasn't a member growing up I followed many of the commandments and I even attended church with a friend of mine who is still very close to me today. I learned from my family's and my friend's examples. I always knew that there was something out there that was for me. I started investigating in the church when I got to college and it was the best thing I have ever done. I knew soon after I was investigating that this was the right church. God gave me a path to follow that led me into His hands. I have a testimony that this church is true and that God gives people opportunities to hear about His gospel. He loves all of his children and wants what is best for them. I will continue to follow the gospel because I know that one day I will be with God and this will be the greatest honor I could ever ask for.

How I live my faith

I am currently a ward missionary. I love telling people about my testimony even though it can be hard at times. Being a ward missionary allows me to be the best person I can. I strive to do my best every day and be an example for all of those around me. I help out with the people in my church if they need help. I will bake if food needs to be made, help study if a test needs to be taken, and just be there for someone who needs a listener. It's the little things that can make a huge difference in peoples' lives and I try to find those little acts of kindness that can make someone's day. I enjoy smiling and saying hi to people. I help my friends with their callings if they need it. Sometimes all it takes to make someone's day is to just let them know you care.
