Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a missionary, I love ultimate frisbee, I speak spanish, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am Daniel. I am currently serving as an LDS missionary in The Dalles, Oregon. I speak Spanish and I love the Hispanic culture. I have served in a number of different situations and areas, and I am having the time of my life. I love teaching about God. I know He loves each of us. I spend our free days playing sports and hiking. The outdoors is beautiful. I couldn't live a happier lifestyle than that of a mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

As a missionary, I have grown to a greater love and respect for the message we teach. A message that doesn't say you have to do this or that, it is a message that says be yourself and ask God what you should do. I went through a rough time during my youth dealing with a lack of faith that I couldn't quite overcome. Though I had read The Book of Mormon for the first time when I was twelve, I did not recieve a full testimony of its validity. It took me some trials and another time through the book before I realized the fundamental part of my testimony was missing and that was a witness from the Holy Ghost . As I got down on my knees and began to offer this question of whether the book was true or not to my Father in Heaven, tears flooded my eyes and my heart was on fire. At that moment I felt the most sincere love from a power I can only describe as the Holy Ghost. God had answered my question that The Book of Mormon truly was the word of God and that I was on the right path. I testify to this day that if your testimony is lacking, or if it is even non-existent, that there is a loving Father in Heaven who is anxiously waiting for you to ask Him if He really is there and if He really does love you. I'm a mormon because I know that I am a child of God and He deeply cares about my state of happiness and well being in this life and there is no other way I could have ever known that without my testimony of the Book of Mormon and my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a missionary! Being a missionary is the greatest experience I have had thus far in my life! Its wonderful to put my own desires aside and spend my time helping others. One thing I love about being a Latter-day Saint is that a person can't just be LDS and believe it and stop there; being LDS means living every moment as a member of the faith and never faltering from the path. I love my Father in Heaven because He knows that none of us are perfect and that there are times in our lives where we will fall off that path, but His hand is always reached out to forgive us and help us back on. I live my faith by striving to stay on that path and loving every moment of this wonderful life that God has given me.
