Hi I'm Madi

I'm from Fort Worth, Texas. I'm a student living in New York City. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there. I'm Madi. I'm a freshman in college studying Sports Management. I love to ski and ride horses when I can. I aslo enjoy listening to music, curling up with a good book, and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom came from a Mormon family, so I grew up in the church. However, my father was Church of Christ and so whenever I was with him for the weekend I would attend with him. While it was not the ideal Church upbringing, I am very thankful because my situation allowed me to have a larger view on religions and discovering their different beliefs on my own rather than hearing it second hand. I was also able to learn for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints is the true church. I have a strong testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that that every LDS prophet since him has been as well. Being a Mormon is incredibly important to me and something that I will always stand by.

How I live my faith

When I moved away from home to go to college, finding a new ward was my top priority. The thing I love about my faith is that the Church is consistent everywhere you go. Institute is always the highlight of my week and I try to never miss it. My current calling in my ward is chorister. Music is important to me, despite the fact that I can't play an instrument or sing very well. I feel like music is a way that the Spirit can speak to you in a special way.
