Hi I'm Ben.

I'm a fun-loving, often silly, aspiring cook from South Carolina. I'd rather play golf than work - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of four wonderful boys. My wife and I consider our relationship and the opportunity to raise our children as a treasure beyond compare. I love to pile into the car with my family and take a vacation and see the world. Watching my children blossom has been a wonderful journey in and of itself. I love to learn new things. If I could, I would probably change professions every three years. There are so many interesting and fun things to do during this earth life. During my life, I've worked as a bank examiner, a bank auditor, a professional photographer, a retail store owner, a futures trader, a food salesman, a bathroom partition salesman, and a calendar salesman. Each of these jobs has been so interesting and fun. Life is such an awesome journey.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't mind being called a Mormom ...... although those not of our faith have used that label to try to somehow set us apart from our core belief in Jesus Christ. I much prefer to be known as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Why is that important to me? When I followed the example of Christ and was baptized by water in His name and received the Holy Ghost, I made a promise to Christ that I would take His name upon myself as one of His followers and always remember Him and keep His commandments. Being called a member of The Church of Jesus Christ is a label I gladly wear because that is where my life is focused - in following the Savior. Some label us a peculiar people - I gladly wear that label also. The scriptures teach us that those that follow Christ are a peculiar people. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and more importantly, a disciple of Christ, has brought significant joy and happiness to my life. I love the freedom I feel from following the teachings of Christ. His gospel brings me peace beyond understanding. The Savior has been a rock in my life and I love to share this message with others. I invite you to find out what makes us peculiar. I know that this search would be eye opening and help you understand why I gladly call accept the label of being called a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is at the very core of who I am. I have chosen to assist my Father in Heaven in accomplishing His work and His glory - which is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of mankind. How do I do this? First and foremost, I try to lead my family in a way that teaches the importance of the mission of Jesus Christ. He is truly the light and life of the world and the only way to salvation and eternal life with our Father in Heaven. Beyond my family, I love to share my faith in Christ with my friends and neighbors. When something provides you with a lot of joy, you definitely want to share that with others. Living my faith is a journey with a lot of facets. Living my faith each day provides spiritual, mental, and social opportunities that I feel have provided my life with a sure footing. Teaching my family as a father, being a good husband, working with youth groups, participating in service projects, participating in sporting events, are all activities which living my faith provides. The beautiful part is that I get to do all these things, and more, and do them in a Christ centered manner. Living my faith is a way of life that permeates all that I do - a life guided by the Savior. Please take the time to learn a little more about why I have chosen to live the life I do by learning more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
