Hi I'm Jake

I'm from Arizona. I love wakeboarding and longboarding, I'm passionate about my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to work and be productive, as different as that is now a days. My family is from Mexico and so I grew up working and appreciating the things I have. I want to become a cardiologist and work to achieve that goal from the bottom up, just like my family did. The things that I most love are my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, my family, hot showers and a haircut now and then! As well as going to the lake or ocean.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found out for myself that it is the only true and living church of God on the earth. I had doubts growing up and went to church mainly because it is what I always knew, what was expected of me, and what my family did. When I reached a certain age though, I had to know for myself that it was true cause I had nothing else in this world. I read the Book of Mormon in three days, it was my first time reading it completely, and I prayed to know that it is true and I felt it was by the power of the Holy Ghost. This meant to me that I knew that God talks to man in our days and that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that God put His church on the earth again, and that through obedience to the laws of the gospel I can live with my Father in heaven and my family forever.

How I live my faith

I just got back from serving a church mission to southern Chile and now that I am not a full time missionary I live my faith by teaching in my own family, having family home evening get together's and family scripture study and prayer. I love it!! It is hard at times but always, always, I feel its worth it and that Heavenly Father is pleased with me. I also attend the congregation of young single adults in my area and go to our meetings and a gospel study class called institute. I don't have a calling or assignment yet in the church but I sure want one!
