Hi I'm Chris

After 8 years of living in Florida, Virginia, and Nevada I am back in Washington state where I was raised. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a convert to the Church, baptized September 26, 1999. I have a great wife and together we have five awesome children. I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm a college student studying Exercise Physiology. My long term goal is to become a college football coach. I enjoy running and hiking and have ran many 5k races and two 1/2 marathons.

Why I am a Mormon

The way I came into the church was quite funny. My wife never pushed me to join the church, but she did mention that if we ever had children she would want them to be raised in the LDS Church. As I thought about the day my future children would ask me questions about the church and have no answer I figured I would "get some information" on the church. As I read and pondered the Book of Mormon I kept in my mind and heart what James 1:5 says as I took the missionary discussions "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." The Holy Ghost confirmed that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He sacrificed for not just me, but all of us. We have living Prophets on the earth today that guide us through the inspired direction of Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to do my very best at living my faith every day. I enjoy helping others whenever I can. One of my most memorable moments was while I was living in Florida. A hurricane had hit a few hours south of where I lived. Many of the men in church got together and drove down to help clean up and help the families that had in many cases lost everything they own. My current calling at church is teaching sunday school for the 14-15 year olds.
