Hi I'm Julie

I cook Italian and love genealogy. I'm a mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While earning my Political Science BA, I spent a semester in Washington DC interning as a Congressional staff member. I love creating and working with my hands (i.e. sewing, painting, & baking Italian breads, such as foccaccia). I love doing genealogy and family history--recently I took a class on using newspapers to gather stories of ancestors. I love the mountains--hiking, horseback-riding, and rafting.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I love Christ and his teachings. Mormons demonstrate their love for Christ and "his sheep" through service and friendship. I've lived in several different states and have always been impressed with the love and friendships offered by the Mormons there.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and being a friend. I work on my own family history and help others with their genealogy with the use of Church's Familysearch.org Family History Libraries. My two kids keep my busy, as I teach them about Jesus and how to follow Him. Every Monday night we have a Family Night. We all gather together and have a quick lesson about Jesus or family and spend time together singing songs and playing.
