Hi I'm Dawnielle

I was born and raised in California. I LOVE ice cream and Christmas music. I'm a new mom to identical twin girls and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of three children. Growing up, I had a wonderful mother and father, whom I loved very much. We lived in the central valley of California. I was always very responsible, kind and helpful to my family and those around me. I was also a hard-working student and a bit of a perfectionist, as I earned straight A's throughout school. I began taking dance lessons at the age of six and went on to major in dance in college. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, I stayed at home with my mom to help her through the final years of her life. My mom passed away when I was 24 years old. After her passing, I decided to move to Southern California. The most special day of my life came this past summer, 2011. I gave birth to two beautiful baby girls! I have waited a long time to be a mother and I am so happy with my two happy and healthy babies!

Why I am a Mormon

My baptism day was such a wonderful day... but I had been very hesitant going into it. My mother and father had been members before my brother, sister and I were born. Unfortunately, through their own trials and heartaches they fell away from the church and, consequently, my siblings and I were not raised in the Mormon religion. When I was seventeen years old, my mother discovered she had a disease called Lupus. Throughout the seven years that followed my mother battled her disease and our family fell apart. Life became very scary and depressing. Three weeks before my mother passed away, she mustered up the courage and strength (she was very ill at this point) to take my sister and me to church. I am so happy that she did. Because while I may have been hesitant to be baptized (it was such an uneasy and confusing time in my life), I don't see how I would have been able to endure the challenges I had to, since my mother's passing, without the knowledge of the Lord and his atonement. I know the Lord Lives and I know that Jesus in the Christ, the son of God. I feel such comfort in my heart when I pray to the Lord in times of need, knowing that he wants what is truly best for me. I am so thankful for the comfort in knowing that I have made covenants with the Lord, and he will bless me for keeping those covenants! I am so thankful that life isn't so scary anymore because I have the direction and security of knowing my loving Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

I "live my faith" by praying every day and reading scriptures. Above all else, these two things have given me peace in my life and the strength to persevere. I try my very best to be a good example of faith, hope and love for my family and those around me. I strive also to do my best in any calling I receive in church.
