Hi I'm Kari

I'm a librarian with a passion for learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to have a loving husband and two great kids. I am a full-time mom and homemaker for the moment. I have a Master's degree and plan to continue my education. I love to learn and to try new things. I love the outdoors, especially in the pacific northwest where it is so green and beautiful. I enjoy scuba diving and traveling. I love to study languages and talk to people from all over the world. I especially enjoy being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church. They raised me to seek out truth and to do what is right. As a teenager I realized that I needed to know for myself what path I should follow. I asked the Lord in prayer whether or not the LDS church is the true church and the one I should follow. I feel very confident that the Lord answered me then and continues to affirm that I am in His church. I feel a deep gratitude to God for having helped my family find the church. Each day I strive to be a better person and to live a life that is fulfilling to me and that is acceptable to my Father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I recently gave birth to my second child. Before she was born, I volunteered in the nursery class at church. Nursery is made up of children from 18 months to 3 years and it was so much fun to play with these kids and to wonder what my little girl would be like at that age. The most wonderful work I have done for the church, though, was serving as a missionary. I spent 18 months of my life working with the wonderful people of Chile. I learned to love their food, culture, lifestyle and language. Most of all, I learned to love the people that live there and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
