Hi I'm Sage

I am currently a High School student attending college, I teach piano, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a High School student who is also attending college. I work very hard on my schoolwork and get fairly good grades. I am currently working on getting my Associates degree but I want to get my Masters in psychology. I want to be a psychologist so that I can help people through their problems and help them realize that their is a light at the end of the tunnel. I love to play the piano and am currently teaching nine students. I love to teach piano, I love the gratification I get from helping someone else succeed. I love to read, go camping, scrapbook, swim, and spend time with my friends and family. I love to laugh, goof around, and just enjoy life anyway that I can!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I'm LDS because when I turned eight my parents pulled me aside and told me that they did not want me to get baptized unless I wanted to. They did not want their beliefs to affect me, they encouraged me to pray and read the scriptures and gain a testimony of my own before I decided to be baptized, so I did. I studied and prayed very hard until I finally got my answer. At the age of 7 I received a witness that this is the one true church and that getting baptized was the right thing to do, I do not regret that decision. Being LDS has blessed me so much and made my life so much easier. I am happier, healthier, and excited about my future because I believe and trust in Christ and I know that He will help me through my trials. He has carried me through so many of my trials and lifted me up when I am down. I have found inspiration in the Book of Mormon every time I have read it; I know that if I have a question I can turn to my own personal compass through life and it will lead me through. I love the Lord, I love this Gospel, and I love our Prophet Thomas S. Monson. I thank the Lord every day for this great blessing that He has brought into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Him more and more everyday. In my ward I am currently the president over the Laurel class (girls who are 16-18). My counselors and I pray everyday for inspiration to help the other young women and pray for guidance in comforting them and bringing them closer to Christ. I help plan activities each week that the young women participate in and I try to be the best friend and example that I can be to the young women that I serve. If a young women is sick or gone one Sunday I will call them and ask if there is anything I can do to help them or if there is anything I can bring. I try to serve them any way that I can. I love this calling, it has strengthened my testimony greatly and helped me realize my true potential as I serve others.
