Hi I'm Brett

I love the outdoors. I am an avid fisherman, cyclist, devoted husband and dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife Suzy and I now find ourselves as empty-nesters. We are adjusting to this new period in our lives, and are having fun learning to set new memories and enjoy new activities as just the two of us again. I manage a software development group for a large technology company. I enjoy the outdoors, and anything that goes with it. I am an avid cyclist, crazy about fly fishing, and love to camp out and hike in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but when I was in college I had to find out for myself what I believed. I decided to prepare to go on a mission, and devoted myself to learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned for myself that the doctrines taught in the church are indeed true. I came to know that I have a friend and advocate in my Savior Jesus Christ. I decided that I would devote all that I am to living the gospel and following his example.

How I live my faith

I try hard to live my daily life in a way that exemplifies the things that I believe. I have served in various responsibilities in the church, and have spent a lot of time working with the youth. I enjoy teaching them and watching the grow as they learn the precepts of the gospel and work to make them part of their own lives. I also enjoy serving in the community in any way that I can. I feel that being in the community and associating with others will help them feel what I have felt, and I hope it will cause them to want to learn about the things that have brought so much joy and happiness to my life.
