Hi I'm Kayla

I've moved a lot. I like music, photography, etc. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend. I have moved around the United States a lot in my life; I have lived from the Northwest to the Southeast. I enjoy music and someday may be able to actually play it. For now, I just listen. I love history. I suck at writing essays. I also like art: photography, drawing, painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into this church. I was baptized at the age of eight, like most members that are born in the covenant. I always tried to obey my parents and choose the right (CTR) as a child, and I was pretty good... At least I think so. Then, as I entered middle school, obeying began to be a little more difficult. When I began high school, it was time to make a choice about my life. I had to decide whether I was going to be "of the world" or "in the world". Attending early-morning seminary really helped me keep my thoughts centered on what Christ would have me do throughout the day. Also, as I worked on the Personal Progress program, I gained more faith that prayer and scripture study are needed for me to reach the goals I set for my life. I have seen firsthand he unhappiness that comes from losing hold of the firm security of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that is not what my Father in Heaven or I wan for my life.

How I live my faith

Wherever I go, in everything I do, I try to be an example of the believers. I try to follow the example set by Jesus Christ. I hope to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and already strive to share with others the happiness I have recieved and will continue to recieve by standing firm in the faith.
