Hi I'm Sherry

I grew up in and love Arizona. I love being a twin and raising my own twin daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 9 children (my twin sister beat me by a few seconds). I love having a large family. My Dad has operated a large bakery since I was about 8 years old, and all of my siblings work there (I have taken a break to be a mommy). They work together all week and then we still get together every Sunday for dinner...even with 27 grandkids! I love my family and can't imagine not having the support, strength, and love they provide for me in times of heartache. I love to water ski or do anything behind a boat. I love crafting and making pretty things. I love spending time with my husband and children. I love camping and going on vacations...I also LOVE relaxing and staying home!

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful every single day to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was born into the church and growing up there came a point when I wasn't sure if I had a testimony, and I realized I needed to find out for myself. As promised in James 1:5, I asked and I received. I know I belong to the one and only true church on earth. I know Jesus Christ is the immortal son of God and he gave His life to atone for the sins of everyone who has lived and will yet live upon the Earth, even me! I am so grateful for that gift. I know He knows me and my heart. I know He loves me and if I am obedient then I can be His hands on earth and He will direct my life in a way that will bring me more happiness than I could ever imagine. I am so grateful for temples and that I have been sealed to my family for all eternity. I have a brother that took his life at the tender age of 17 and a sister who struggled to survive for 30 years from a heart defect and passed away this last April. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing family to lean on, but without the comfort from my Heavenly Father and the knowledge that I will be with them again someday, I feel like I would crumble. Life if tough, but through Him, our heartaches can be gently healed and He will make us stronger. I know this is true. It has happened to me. I am eternally grateful for the peace and joy living the gospel brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I have had lots of callings in the church, but I love what I am called to do in the church right now. I get to teach and spend time with the young women, ages 12-18. They are amazing! They are standing at the same cross roads I did when I started to question my testimony. I have seen them blossom and grow. They have so many struggles at school and home, and to see them endure them with faith and with virtue is the most beautiful thing. They are so strong and they are okay with being a little "different" in the eyes of their peers, because of what they know! They know they are daughters of a Heavenly King and have divine qualities to become like Him. They know if they choose the righteous path that they will have happiness in this life and eternal life.
