Hi I'm Rosalie Milliner

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah in the beautiful Heber Valley. I have always been a member of the LDS Church. My ancestors (all four of my grandparents) crossed the plains to find religous freedom and join the Saints in Utah. I have always been fascinated by their testimonies and determination to follow the prophet even to the point of giving their lives. My great-grandfatehr, George White, and his family joined the church in England. He died before they could migrate to Utah. On his death bed he would sing, in a loud voice that the neighbors could hear, hymns of praise to God for findng the true church at last. I was active in the church for many years and then dropped out because of personal and family reasons. It was a long time before I was convinced to reactivate by a wondreful Relief Society President who touched me with a letter she wrote. Since that time, I have grown in the gospel and have gone to the temple. I have not known such joy and peace in my heart before. I have held several positions since my return and currently teach the Valiant Eleven Primay Class. They are my pride and joy.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was raised in a small Mormon Communicty, you might say I just sort of went along with it. That sometimes was the case. I went to Seminary and graduated while in High School. It was part of the regular high school scheduled classes. I didn't have to get up and be there at 6:00 AM like the kids now. I believe I always have known the Church was true; but, I really didn't know why until I was older and had studied and prayed about it. Later, still, after I was reactivated, I pursued learning as much as I could and went to the temple which changed my life entirely. I now know without a doubt that the Church is true and that God loves me and knows who I am.

How I live my faith

Today I teach Primary, do my visiting teaching and sing in two choirs. I go to the temple as often as I can and try to do names for myself and those in the Ward if possible. I try to be a good example for my husband and children who aren't active. I have many friends who do not belong to the church so I try to show them the great many things we do in the Church for people all over the world. I believe that the Cave Creek Ward in Cave Creek, Arizona is the best in the Church. We are such a close family and we participate in many community projects in our area. I am grateful to be a member of this Ward and Stake.
