Hi I'm Eliza

I'm a feminist, a lifelong learner, and a Mormon.

About Me

I have a degree in political science, and I have specializations in the Spanish, Bulgarian, and Arabic languages. I love learning languages and traveling, and talking to different kinds of people about their stories. I believe there is a place for everyone in God's kingdom, and that all people deserve to feel loved, wanted, and safe.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm really a Mormon is because I've seen over and over again how this Gospel teaches us to be better people to each other - more peaceful, more thoughtful, more gentle, more willing to love our fellow sisters and brothers. And as someone who believes in learning about the injustices of the world, particularly those done to women, I've seen how this Gospel uplifts and empowers women through its doctrine and beliefs.

How I live my faith

I served in the Bulgaria Sofia mission, but I learned before and after that that real faith means day to day choices, not just big gestures. I am grateful for everything in my life, and want to find a way to help the world and the people around me, because of the belief I have in God's love for all of us.
