Hi I'm Shane

I'm from Spokane, Washington, I have a wife from Ecuador and two daughters, I design tunnel boring machines, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play soccer, play the guitar, snowboard, and I love doing anything in the ocean. My mom lives in Hawaii and I go there often to visit family. I served a two year, Spanish speaking mission in New York City.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had faith in God, but didn't always make the best decisions. As a teenager I felt a need to find the truth about who God is and who I am as part of His plan. I often felt an emptiness inside that needed to be filled. When I began talking to my best friend, who is Mormon, about the church it all sounded familiar, even though I had never heard it before. I began reading and studying more with missionaries and found that emptiness to be filled. It changed my perspective on life completely and I felt like I had woken up spiritually. This was a big change, and it took some getting used to, but here I am 15 years later, and I'm extremely grateful I was able to find the church. I know that Christ is at the head of it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the sense of community in the church. I teach Sunday School and it feels like a develop a close spiritual relationship with all those in my class. Even when I don't have a calling in the church at all, I know my fellow brothers and sisters look out for me, and I look out for them.
