Hi I'm Tomoe

I grew up in Japan. I am a housewife. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Tokyo and raised in Kanagawa prefecture. After I graduated from High School, I attended 2year school to prepare myself to get a job. I have worked at Tanashin Co. for one and a half years and then I went on a mission. I served as a LDS missionary at Okinawa and Osaka. When I came back from my mission, I met a wonderful man and got married in LDS Tokyo Temple in 1987. Since then we have been blessed with having four precious children, two boys and two girls. We currently live in US. I worked as a real estate agent as well as as a cook at a Japanese restaurant. Now I am a housewife enjoying cooking, cleaning house, doing laundry everyday. I love to play and teach the piano. I love some crafts such as cross stitch, scrap booking and sewing. I also love to watch Japanese and Korean TV. I love sports. I played basketball and tennis when I was a student in junior high and high school. I enjoy zumba and jogging as my routine exercises.

Why I am a Mormon

It was my brother by whom I first was introduced to the church. He had been converted a few months prior. When I was a junior high student he took me to a church activity which is called youth conference where youths in the church gathered together to have fun activities such as outfield games, singing songs, having dance, doing campfires and so on as well as to learn the gospel. There I had good experiences meeting with many wonderful youths. It amazed me how they were so nice and how strong faith they had. However I was not interested in learning further more about the church. When I was at high school, I became a friend with a wonderful girl whom I soon learned had just baptized. She invited me to go to church. I accepted her invitation just because I wanted to have some fun with her. There I met two wonderful missionaries who started to teach me the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for this gospel. This gospel is true. Our family is eternal and love is the key to enable us live together forever. Gospel teaches us all things and answers the most profound questions such as "where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we going after this life?". I know Heavenly Father created a beautiful plan for us. It is called "Plan of Salvation". In order to fulfill his plan, he has sent his son to this world. I know Jesus Christ is the savior and a center of Heavenly Father's plan. Without him this life has no meaning. Everything we experience in this life would have been vain had God not sent his son Jesus Christ. I know we can be saved only through his atoning power. I am grateful for this knowledge which God has taught us through the Holy Prophets.
