Hi I'm Casey

I have 6 kids, 4 bio and 2 adopted. I love country songwriting, snowboarding and business. I have a beautiful wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I'm a husband and dad to 6 great kids. My wife and I have had 4 biological kids and have adopted 2 kids. We're a mixed race family. Both of our adopted boys are African American, and the rest of the family is Caucasian. We have had one of our boys since birth, he is now 9 and the other we are just finalizing the adoption and he is 14. Our other kids are 12, 10, 4 and 3, so with all six, there is always entertainment and excitement around our house. I've been sales and marketing for the past 16 years, holding various national and executive roles. I've learned a great deal through successful times and not so successful times. I love what I do! My passion is writing lyrics to country songs. It is something that I hope I can dial in on well enough to one day have a song or two....or more picked up by someone. I love snowboarding! There are few things that find as free as floating through knee high powder on a snowboard. I use to love sailing through the air, but now I'm getting older and am starting to accept that I'm breakable! Our family spends a lot of time in the outdoors. Camping, Hiking, Exploring and whatever else we can come up with.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel has been my anchor throughout my life. I've had a great life, but like everyone, I've had my struggles and things I've had to face in life that have not been easy. My parents divorced when I was 6 years old. My older brother was killed in a military helicopter accident when I was 15 years old. My wife suffered a major mental illness that started in our 8th year of marriage when we had 3 small children. We lost everything of financial worth including our home and all of our furniture with the exception of our beds during that time as I had to stay home for two years to take care of our family. Although baptized at 8 years old and pretty active in church attendance most of my life, I went to a few different church summer bible camps with friends and neighbors. In addition to that, our family is built up of many religions, but I've always found my strength, my core strength that keeps me standing and moving forward through the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in LDS church. My greatest love is for my Savior Jesus Christ and his gospel teachings. Because of Him, I have a incredible family that I am sealed to not just for our time on this earth, but for eternity. Because of Him I can repent of my sins and overcome all things. And, because of Him, I can one day return to my Father in Heaven and be reunited with all those that mean so much to me.

How I live my faith

I love being active in church! I've had the opportunity to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Zealand for 2 years. I've taught adult Sunday School classes as well as worked with the young men and I currently teach a Sunday School class full of 14-15 year old's as well as visit a couple families in our area each month to share a message, give support and help and generally just be there for them. My wife and I created and organize an adoption fund raising event in our community each year that consists of a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon race as well as many activities for kids of all ages to participate in and just have a good time.
