Hi I'm Connie

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Southern California and joined the church in 1989.

About Me

I'm in my fifties, am married with no children. My older brother, Michael, who is mentally challenged lives with us. My husband is not a member of the Chuch yet. I have three dachshunds and I love reading, music and playing the piano in my own special way. I'm a country girl at heart. I like meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I needed GOD in my life. I was not on a good path (not terribly bad but not safe either). I'm like water, I always tried to follow the path of least resistance until GOD built a dam and said "Try to get around this without me!" There's alot more to my conversion but that would take pages. The LDS Church, specifically the PLAN OF SALVATION, contained the truths I was searching for. I knew the truth in my heart when I heard the lessons from the missionaries.

How I live my faith

Attending church is my weekly "recharge". However, I try to do my best and still find myself falling short. That's the beautiful thing about the gospel...you don't have to be perfect. I have a strong testimony about the Saviour, the Church, and the Prophets. I am always growing and learning. I've recently decided that I need to redirect my priorities and make sure that I'm doing what tbe Lord wants me to. My goal is to someday be able to go on a Senior Mission and help others.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Connie
Members of our Church as often referred to as Mormons. The name of the Church is the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the Savior of the world and that he atoned for the sins of all mankind that we may be saved. We believe that is is the only begotten Son of God, whom we also refer to as our Heavenly Father. We believe that there are three members of the God head and that they are separate beings. First, Heavenly Father. Second is his Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. Both Heavenly Father and Jesus have bodies of flesh and blood. The third personage is the Holy Ghost who does not yet have a body. The Holy Ghost has many roles. He confirms that truth of the Gospel when we seek answers by prayer. He also comforts us in times of need. Show more Show less
