Hi I'm Kevin

Hey, I sing base, ride motorcycles, served in Army Special Forces. I love cars and am a marriage/family therapist And I'm a Mormon

About Me

If it has wheels, wings or shutters, i love it. I enjoy creating stained glass art, building scale model aircraft, mostly 1/48 scale. I have a masters degree in marriage, family and child therapy and have been in the field for nearly 7 years. I have had a number of jobs, aluminum siding instillation, auto parts salesman and run an Autozone store as manager for 6 years. I've done 18 months as a mobile Suicide Prevention Specialist responding to persons at risk of attempting. I love going to the Barrett/Jackson each year in Scottsdale with my brother and my daughter, I never buy but I get loads of great photos. I and my wife of 28 years have 6 children, the last of which, I did not know was coming until the morning she was delivered. If I could have my dream car' I would drive a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire, Srt6 roadster. I'm a fanatic about Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep products and believe there has never been and will never be a better fighter aircraft than an F-16 Fighting Falcon. I play war games, GURPS, a role playing game. I'm 51 and love to play Left For Dead with my wife, HALO and Foras Motorsports 4 with my sons on XBox Live. I have six children, three are married and each of them have 1 child.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon)because the values and teachings are the same as mine. I believe the family is the most important organization on earth, I believe I have a responsibility for my own actions and that Jesus paid for the sins I have committed and will forgive me if I follow his teachings and ask him for forgiveness. When i was 20 years old, I had a number of experiences that told my heart that the teachings of the church are true. This knowledge was given me by the third member of the Godhead, the Holy Ghost, as I prayed to find wisdom in my spiritual journey. My testimony of the Gospel did not come overnight. In fact I am still learning and trying to strengthen my testimony. life is an on-going trek and I am learning how to read the map God gave us. I love to read the Bible. I love to find truth wherever I can. I have found may great truths in the Bible. I would not turn away from truth, I find the Book of Mormon to contain the same truths as are in the Bible. I can accept what one source says as truth, but if I have a second witness I feel much more confident in my sources. Add the answered prayers and support of the Holy Ghost and I have three witnesses that Jesus is the Christ, that the Bible AND the Book of Mormon are literally the Word of God. My hope is centered around the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my redeemer, my Savior, my all. In him I find comfort and contentment even in my darkest hours I do not feel alone. My faith does not protect me from temptation and or sin but it gives me hope of a brighter day. I invite you to join me in my journey back t God, to live with him in the eternities. Read, ponder and pray about the role Christ can play in you redemption about the truths contained in the Bible, the Book of Mormon and the Church. If you will do so, with pure intent, a humble, teachable heart and a willing body and sole, you too can have the Holy Ghost witness the truth to you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the right thing. I try to be honest in all my dealings, my integrity is so very important t me. I have a deep love for helping others and find great joy in the service I can and do provide. I believe the gospel is not like my Sunday clothes. my beliefs are not things I put on Sunday morning to go to church, then take them off again Monday morning. I have found no greater joy than to be with my family. The Church has helped me raise my children into caring, responsible, productive people. As Church leaders have done, I have tried to teach my children correct morals, values and principles and let them govern themselves. This is not to say that we have no rules in our home, quite to the contrary, we have a number of family rules that are not just guild lines. No kidding, the more I pray, read and try to live the principles of truth given by the Holy Prophets my happiness and joy increase. I feel less confused by the events of the day, the economy , the stupid stuff the government does. I Hope that after you have read this you will feel more at home investigating the truths found in the Mormon Church.
