Hi I'm Ray

My wife and I have five children and two grandchildren. We enjoy getting together with our family. Families are very important.

About Me

I am a father of 5 children and 2 grandchidren. I enjoy being together with my family. I especially like going camping with my family.I like being in the outdoors and enjoying nature. I like to restore vehicles and especially off road vehicles 4x4's ect. I am looking forward to helping one of my son's restore a 70's modle chevy 4x4 truck he inherited from a good friend. It is on hold for a while becuase my son is on a mission in africa. He probably thinks I am going to have it done when he gets home but I want him to have the experience of learning how to take it apart and put it back together. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a mormon and had good parents that taught me many good principals of the gosple of Jesus Christ. I beleived what my parents taught by word and deed but needed to know for myself if it all was true. I come to know that it is true through prayer and reading the scriptures. It has helped me get through some of he hardest trials that I have had. I had my youger sister murdered 23 years ago and I feel I have forgiven the person who did this terrible thing only becuase I have a strong conviction that Jesus Christ is my savior and that my sister is ok becuase of his resurection and that all will be made right through his atonement. I know that I must forgive all in order to come back into his presence.

How I live my faith

I received a calling in my church that required me to speak once a month to a different congregation each month. At first it seemed to be quite a challenge to speak so often but I have come to realize that it is a great learning experience. As I study the gosple of Jesus Christ in the scriptures I have come to know with a stronger conviction of the gosple principles that he taught. I am also an advisor to the young single adults in the area and have enjoyed getting to know what good young adults there are today. I have also realized some of the challenges they are faced with in todays world. My wife and I have tried to teach our five chidren to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ the best that they can. I feel I cannot teach unless I do. Strong communities start with strong families.
