Hi I'm Lauren

Im an outgoing, hardworking, ski-loving college student who is a sister, a daughter, & a friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up, I moved around alot and have lived in a bunch of different cities, finally, we've settled down in a small town in Northern Idaho. I am a student at a junior college majoring in communtications and hopefully later on moving towards public relations. I come from a large family of sports finatics! We always have a good time watching the game-or playing. My favorite hobby is snow-skiing. No one can stop me from hitting the slopes, it is my own personal get away. I am engaged to be married in the LDS temple and I couldnt be happier! My Fiance is a sports broadcaster-so you know he will fit right in. I am extremely greatful that I have grown up with a background in the LDS church. It has blessed my life in so many ways. Everyday my testimony is growing stronger and stronger.

Why I am a Mormon

When I think about why I am a mormon, It makes me think of where I would be if I didnt have this gospel in my life. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means so much to me. Without the teachings of the book of Mormon and other doctrine, I would be completely lost. Reading the book of Mormon has answered so many of my questions that I've had and has filled those gaps during trials in my life that were full of confusion, uncertainty, and doubt. Prayer is the most important thing to me in this gospel. I know that with faith, no matter what, prayers will be answered. The power of prayer is one of the most amazing tools we are blessed with. Prayer is a direct 'line' to communicating with our hevenly father. I know that Hevenly father loves each and every one of us. No matter what we do, or how bad we sin, he will always love us and care for us. He wants us to succeed and live happy, righteous lives. Because of reading my scriptures, praying daily, and having faith, I know I am on the right path to return to living with him again. With these things in my life, I am truely blessed. And I absolutely LOVE being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I practice living my faith each and every day by studying the scriptures and praying for answers. I also attend all of my church meetings every sunday. I love going to church, every week is an absolutely amazing experience that strengthens my testimony in many different ways. What I love the most about attending church on Sundays is being surrounded by other people in my age group who share the exact same beliefs that I have. How cool is that? It is so comforting to know that we can all learn together, and help one another. Through out the week I also do something called Visiting Teaching. This is where I go to another members house with a companion and we share lessons and our testimonies. We often just stop by to say hello and see if we can do anything to help out with anything through out the week. Doing this not only blesses others with service, but it blesses me. I love helping out another member, non member, friend, or a stranger. Our church is very focused on service to others and If I ever have the opprotunity to help someone in need, Im there.
