Hi I'm Jacquelyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm loving life, going to school, working and just married. Within the next couple of years I hope to be working as a Music Therapist with children. Music and art are a great way for me to relax and reflect on how things are going in my life. I love my husband (so very much!), my friends, and family and all the support and love we share!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and was taught to always look toward the temple. I loved the truth about how families are forever and wanted to be with my family and future family throughout eternity. I stopped going to church for a couple of years and said that I didn't believe the teachings. The one thing that really stuck out in my mind however was how much I wanted an eternal family, not just 'till death do we part'. After a while I felt so lost and confused and I started to to church activities with a few of my cousins and would listen to them reading their scriptures until I began reading them again myself. I began praying again and asking for help to be happy again. Once I started that I felt the spirit and realized how happy and peaceful it made me feel. I became fully active going to church again and suddenly those things in life I was confused about made sense and it seemed easier to choose what to do. I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and I know he is there for me whether I think I need Him or not. I know that I will be able to continually look toward him and my Heavenly Father and know that they love me always. I also know that my husband and I will be together forever and we can look forward to our future family together. Not just 'till death do we part'.

How I live my faith

Daily scripture study and personal prayers are an important part of my day. It is a great time for me to understand what God wants me to do and how I can improve my life each day. My husband and I teach a class of 9 year olds. They are so much fun and we love learning (and teaching) about the stories in the New Testament.
