Hi I'm Christine

I love the sun, laughing, my favorite color is pink and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Southern California and then moved to Texas for a few years. My family finally settled down and I grew up in the sunny land of Arizona. Living in California, Texas, and Arizona has definitely given me a love of sunshine and all things warm. I enjoy running, dancing, reading, singing, and laughing. Laughing makes life so much more fun and enjoyable and I am often the first one to laugh at a joke and the last one to stop laughing. I am the oldest of five kids and I have three brothers and one sister. I am currently a college student and studying to be an elementary school teacher. I have been lucky to have the opportunity to teach preschool for the past couple years. The wonderful children in my classes make me laugh every day and being around their sweet spirits reminds me everyday of the God's love for His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with a mother and father who were both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was raised in the church and taught the gospel standards my whole life. I always went to church with my family and I believed that the church was true, but I could never say that I KNEW it was for myself. It wasn't until I went to college and lived on my own that I decided that I needed to know. After reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it, I have come to know of the truthfulness of this gospel. I continue to follow this gospel and live the standards because it brings me so much joy. The gospel gives me a purpose and a direction for this life. Because of the gospel, I have been able to find peace and happiness in knowing that I have a Savior who loves me.

How I live my faith

As I get older, I have realized that it's the small and simple things that make the biggest different. I live my faith by attending church every Sunday, reading my scriptures and praying on a daily basis, and attending the temple. It is that daily spiritual nourishment that I receive from reading and praying that keeps me going and strengthens my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. Being able to communicate with my Father in Heaven everyday through prayer has helped me so much to see God's hand in my life and how much He cares about everyone. Another way that I live my faith is by keeping the commandments that the Lord has given us. I strive to live my life in a way that Christ would by treating others with love and kindness.
