Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a wife. I'm a mom of three boys. I'm a musician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Alberta, Canada in a family of five children. For half of my life I lived on (or near) a farm with a veterinarian for a father. We had lots of pets and life was interesting to say the least! I went to university, got married before my last year of undergrad, graduated with a degree in Psychology (with a business minor) and then moved out to California for my husband to continue his education. After having our first child, I decided to leave the work world and be at home full time. We now have three boys and, after moving all over, have finally settled in Colorado. We've loved everywhere we've lived, but this is our favorite! I am a musician - these days my skills are used mostly for singing lullabies and playing "twinkle twinkle" on the piano. I enjoy cooking, being active and learning new things. I love teaching and playing with my children and exploring in our area. We love to travel! Even though life is crazy busy, I feel fulfilled.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have had too many experiences proving to me that THIS is where the gospel of Jesus Christ is found in its entirety. Even though I grew up a member of the church, I went through my own conversion in my late teens - I had to figure it out for myself. It didn't ever make sense to me that God would only give prophets and miracles to people living hundreds of years ago. Why not to us?? I know that he has given those things to us - we have prophets and apostles NOW and miracles that happen every day. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is Christ's church. The same organization that we read about in the Bible, here again on the earth. There are many, many reasons why I'm a Christian, but that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by building a strong family and serving in my church and community. I run a parents network that helps families connect and find helpful information and activities/events in our community. I help bring music to our church meetings by directing a choir made up of church members. I organize a playgroup and participate in a book club. I look for opportunities to serve others and teach my children to do the same.
