Hi I'm Curtis

My life has been full of amazing, difficult, and wonderful expriences. I have 5 kids, one fantastic wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy and blessed father of 5 children and I wouldnt have it any other way. ( I wouldnt know how to handle the quiet time.) My wife of 21 years and I moved to the Atlanta area approximately 9 years ago when my work transferred us here from Arizona. I have worked in the kitchen cabinet industry for all of my career and have enjoyed meeting many wonderful people from all walks of life. Currently I am in sales with the company I work for but I have held several management postions and enjoy the challenge of finding new business and building stong teams. My interests and hobbies include basketball, raquetball, and just about any sport, home improvement projects, coaching my kids teams, inland surfing and summer vacations at the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of answers to my prayers. Its really that simple. There have been many times in my life that I have had experiences where I know the Lord helped me, protected me, and answered my prayers. As I read the Book of Mormon the first time and then really sincerely prayed to know if it was true I felt the calming influence of the Holy Spirit testify to me that it was true. After I received that inspiration I knew from that moment on my life would be different. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for answering my prayers and it has given me a new confidence and strengthened my faith. As I read the scriptures and pray each day I am better able to handle the everyday trials of life and avoid the many traps of Satan that fill out world today.

How I live my faith

As I am dilligent and obedient to the commandments of the Lord I find I am filled with true joy and happiness and have more to offer my family and those around me. I have served for many years in various church callings. Currenly I serve as the Bishop of our congregation. The thing I enjoy most about serving as the Bishop is the opportunity I have to closely work with the youth and other members of our church. We are involved in all kinds of activities both in our congregation and within the community. From cleaning up a widows yard to helping with families after huricane Katrina I have learned that we find the greatest happiness in life when we look beyond ourselves and serve others as Jesus Christ did.
