Hi I'm Rachel Cynthia Miller

I am who I am and I love that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Youngest of 8 children. I will try just about anything and am in between colleges at the moment. Family is most important along with my faith. I am on my own but I know that I am loved and supported by those around me. I have my own struggles as most do. For me, I deal with depression that is a hereditary in my family. This can be quite difficult at times. This is why I am in between colleges at the moment. Life is very much an adventure and I look forward to the present and the future as positively as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon? I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I choose to be. I have chosen what to me feels right and what has been confirmed over and over again as truth to my mind and heart. I was born into an LDS family and was baptized at the age of 8. I did as I was told and did as expected. Then my Sophomore year of High School it was time for me to make a decision of if what I was doing was right or not? If what I was doing was true and what I was learning was true? And it is. Prayer is a wonderful thing and through prayer and a desire to know, the Holy Ghost testified to me that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored His church to this earth to bring His children home. Also, the Book of Mormon is true. It's amazing to think of what one is actually reading and to gain more knowledge of Christ through this true book. I have had challenges in my life that I had no idea of how I was going to get through them until that warmth and love I feel because of the Spirit touches me. I have hope in the future. I have hope to make it each day. I love this church. I love this gospel. I have at one time or another chosen different paths but have always come back to this. To what makes me truly happy and feel good. I come back to my Savior Jesus Christ. Through Him, I will always be able to be happy. Truly happy.

How I live my faith

I am what I live. I do go to church and say my prayers and read the scriptures. I also try and be what is taught in church and in the scriptures and the answers I get through prayer. I enjoy the worship service each Sunday called Sacrament meeting and the next two hours of Sunday school classes. One that is combined for men and women and the next just for women or men. I obviously go to the class specifically for women. It is a wonderful chance to meet people and gain fellowship in a new place. I have just moved to my new house, with new girls, and through going to church and participating in other church events I meet wonderful people. Some of whom I am grateful for and love dearly for what they have taught me. During the week, there is another Sunday school like class. It isn't on Sundays but to me, its a break during the week to really feel the Spirit and learn more about this gospel of Jesus Christ. And all through out I literally try and do what I can to be like Christ and follow in His foot steps.
