Hi I'm Sara

I'm a newly married stay at home mom and stepmom to 5 boys and a girl. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I recently married the man of my dreams! We blended our family of 8. I have three boys and he has two boys and a girl, who all live with us full time! I'm learning to adjust to this new, WONDERFUL life we have together. I am blessed to get to stay home every day with my youngest who is 4, and to be here after school when our other kids come home on the bus. We are constantly going in all directions with sports and scouts and young mens and young womens activities, but life is good! I cherish our family time. We usually end up with just one day a week that we are all home together outside of most Sundays. We ALWAYS make that Mexican night! It's become a fun little tradition we do. I love to sing, I was recently called to lead the choir in my ward, which is NOT as easy as it may seem. I love the spirit I feel when I hear the hymns and love being able to bear my own testimony with song. The best thing is to sing with my husband who is also a lover of music, sharing our talents together is a dream come true for me! We also love to dance, he dances with me almost every day. I'm a pretty lucky woman! Family and friends are the most important thing to me. I love family time, couple time and of course, GIRL TIME! I feel rejuvinated when I get to spend time with people I love. Even when my life is crazy busy and I am run ragged, I lay in bed at night and count my blessing, my life is truly blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised this way and for some reason I just couldn't stop! There is no denying the spirit I have felt in my life time and time again confirming to me that there is a Heavenly Father and He does know me. I have also felt that same spirit tell me that He approves of my life and the direction it is going, and part of that is being a Mormon. I know this is the true church on the earth and that Jesus Christ is it's head. Our religion is so much based on the family too, that how could you not want to be a part of it? I am blessed to know that there is a life after this one and that in that life I will still be the mother of my children, I will still be my husbands wife, and that brings me great comfort and gives me the strength to get through the hard times that have and will come. Families CAN be together forever, and I intend to be with mine. There is no other way that I could be the mother that I am, and I am not perfect, with out this my faith. The principles we teach and learn from every day help me to be a mother, a wife, a friend, a daughter and a sister. I don't know what I would do with out the knowledge and the testimony that I have.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith through songs. I love music. I enjoy the spirit I feel when others sing and gain strength when I get to bear my testimony through song. I was recently called to be our wards choir director. It consumes my mind some days because I am constantly listening to or thinking about songs I want the choir to do. I have had the opportunity to plan an entire sacrament meeting around music and enjoyed the spirit that I felt when it all came together. I am currently planning our Christmas program and love the music that comes with this season and the focus on our Savior, it's strenghtening my relationship and my testimony of Him as I read stories and scriptures and listen to songs that may be part of our program. I love the spirit that I feel and that is in my home as I listen to and sing good music, especially church related music that speaks of our Savior and His life and sacrifices for me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Mormons do believe this to be true. I KNOW this to be true, it is a fundamental part of who I am and how I choose to live every day. I love my husband and my children more than anything in this world and want to be with them forever, I try and live my life to be worthy of that blessing. They are the anchor I hold to in this life and the greatest source of what joy will come in the next. I know this life is not the end, and I know families will be together forever in the eternities.
