Hi I'm Parker Cressman

I'm a missionary in Los Angeles, I love Track and Field. My bed time is 10:30, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am taking a two-year pause from studying at Brigham Young Uniersity, Which I will be majoring in Exercise Science. I'm serving an LDS Mission in the California Los Angeles area, where I'll be speaking Spanish and reside for two years. As a missionary, we invite people to make changes in their life that will bring the closer to God. My parents both served missions, and both Spanish speaking. I'm a member of BYU's Track and Field team, and I love to perform and write music. I love to talk, to be animated, and to be with my family. I feel that communication is the most effective way to live life, and the more the better!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there's nothing more important to me than following my feelings. I grew up in the LDS faith, yet wasn't as faithful to the name as I could've been. The most important factor in keeping my beliefs and faith is in the role of the Holy Ghost. He distills feelings in our hearts, and promptings to our minds. The time that I felt this conversion myself was when I committed to reading the Book of Mormon, and praying to my Heavenly Father with conviction, as if already I had the firmest conviction of his answering of my prayers. I'm so glad that i received these promptings, which now direct my every decision on my mission. Also I've always loved the knowledge that we can live with our families forever. I LOVE my family. My father was of another religion when he was a teenager. When he was around 19 or 20 years old, his friends of the LDS (Latter-Day Saint, or Mormon) faith left a great example to him, and he wanted to figure out why they acted in such a nice manner... shortly afterward he was baptized, and became a missionary, going on to be a Husband and Father oriented in helping his family keep God's commandments, and be happy forever.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by my works. Although I'm not perfect and I make mistakes everyday, I wake up every morning at 6:30, and do the Lord's work until 9:30. I am very excited that the Lord has the ability to mold me into a "fisher of men". I Love to be a missionary, and I hope to serve others as I invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the Restored Gospel. I am going to do my work by loving the people to whom I serve. Sometimes it's hard to keep all of them commandments, but I live my faith by changing. I live my faith by learning what God asks me to do, or who he asks me to be, and changing all the bad to the good.
