Hi I'm Meredith.

I'm a Georgia peach. I'm the oldest of 5 kids. I'm a missionary. I love laughing, fishing, and making friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young missionary serving in the Oregon Salem Mission. I LOVE being a missionary and love talking to people. I grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, then moved to Georgia when I was 16. I have the BEST family for me. They are my world! I am the oldest of 5 kids, 3 girls and 2 boys. The youngest of the 2 brothers is from China, so I think that makes our family a little unique. After I graduated, I moved out to Idaho and began my first year of college at BYU-Idaho. I loved it so much! It was such a blast and I met so many good friends there. I loved being around other students who have the same beliefs as me. Now, a year later, I am a full time missionary, like I mentioned before. I am living my dream! I have wanted to serve a mission ever since I was 13 years old. That is when I truly began to gain a testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and love how happy it makes me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life so obviously, it is all I have ever known, but it is so much more than that to me. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know with everything in me that it is true. I have such a deep love for my Savior, who is the head of the church. I know that He is the Son of God and that He suffered and died so that I will be able to live again after this life. I also know that Jesus Christ's gospel was restored by Joseph Smith. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today just like there were prophets in ancient times. I have a strong testimony of the scriptures. I know that the Bible is true, but also The Book of Mormon as well. After I read The Book of Mormon, I took Moroni's challenge, which invites us to ask our Father in Heaven, in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, and prayed about what I had read. The feeling I got was unlike anything I had ever felt before. I felt Heavenly Father's love for me personally and felt like He knew me as His daughter. From that experience, I saw the Lord's hand in my life. I learned that He really does watch over and love each of His sons and daughters. I'm a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and His son, my Savior, Jesus Christ. The simple truths taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all lead back to the true love Christ has for each of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with others, which is what I get to do everyday now! I feel so blessed to be able to talk about how I feel about my Savior, Jesus Christ daily. I love Him so much and I know that He feels the same way about me. I know that He died for me, but He also lived for me. He lived a perfect life so that I would know how to live mine. I will forever be grateful for Jesus Christ. When I talk about Him with people here in Oregon, it strengthens my conviction about Him. I am on a mission because I love Jesus Christ and want to help people come to know Him.
