Hi I'm Jill

I'm a chocolate-lover. I see the glass half full. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom to three beautiful kids and a wife to a talented, hard-working man. Most of my time and energy is spent on keeping our household running, but I do like to squeeze some time in for myself too! I love to sing, sew, read, work out, look on the bright side of things, go on dates with my husband, and eat delicious food!

Why I am a Mormon

Life holds a variety of experiences, both joyful and challenging. The principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints help me appreciate the pleasant parts of life and cope with the adversities in life. Faith and trust in God, forgiveness of others, charity or love, and brotherly kindness are principles that guide my life. When I live according to the commandments and standards in the gospel I feel close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I feel deep peace. It's a good feeling to know that my choices are pleasing to God.

How I live my faith

My faith and religion are a way of life for me. It is not something I do and check off my to-do list. The principles of the gospel guide my choices every day and, thus, form who I am. Currently I am a leader for adolescent girls in our congregation. I work specifically with the 12 and 13 year old girls. I teach them lessons on Sundays, aid them in planning and carrying out weekly activities that are fun, strengthen them spiritually, and provide opportunities to serve others. With the other women, I act as a shepherd to help these girls draw closer to Christ and Heavenly Father, and increase the skills that help them prepare for their roles as adult women. I also support my husband in his service as a teacher of young adult men and women who are preparing to serve full-time missions for our church. I love my church! I am happy and willing to share it with my friends and acquaintances because I know it will enrich their lives like it does mine. It makes life more meaningful, it helps me adjust to life's challenges, and unites and strengthens families like nothing else can.
