Hi I'm Jules

I'm a hair stylist in Austin Texas, a mother of two children and a step partent to 10. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in my middle 30's and a mom of two great kids a 13 year old and a 4 month old. I'm currently able to stay home for now with a baby. I'm learning and growing every day as a mom. Being a mom did not come naturally to me. My first child could tell you that. I was raised in a very large family and times where hard. My parents did their best by keeping a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs. I was raised in the LDS church and I took it for granted. I grew up obeying all the guidlines up until I was 18 years old. I rebeled and married a man I only new for about a month. We were married at my church building by my bishop. Two years later I was divorced with a new born. I was crushed, my faith was very low, and I was lost. I was a single mom for 10 years until I met my husband. I cut his hair at a salon I was working at. It was love at first sight. This time we dated for a year and have been married almost 3 years. I love my life so much. I'm still a member of the church and I'm learning and growing in my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in Utah as a Morman. However, my conversion story never ends. I don't have one powerful moment that tells me it is true. As a matter of fact I lways envied new members because their faith was so strong. It was not until recent that I can say I've been a true believer. As I look back over my life I can say "I'm a sinner". I have not always followed all the guidlines of the church. I can even say I have broken almost all of them. However, no matter how low or unworthy I felt I knew the Lord was aware of my suffering; my pain. He aways would show his love through people he would bring into my life or I would get a idea in my head that helped move me forward. This simple truth brought me so much peace and it helped me hold on even in the most desperate of times.

How I live my faith

My family has just moved to Texas and honestly my faith has grown so much since living here. I was amazed how much christanity is shown here, Stores have christan music playing, people say God bless you, and you can see it in their eyes that they mean it. As a hair sylist I worked in a shop where the owner would bless people in her chair and talk openly about Christ and share her testimony with people every day. I could see people had a personal relationship with him. They had pride in the Lord and would share his love with others. I would say to my self," I want that". I want to have that kind of relationship with Christ. That is when I started to find my testimony. My husband and I decided to have the missionaries over on Mondays to help us gain the habit of Family Home Evening. They set up goals for us to read the Book of Morman every night. I started to thurst for the gospel. I put a picture of Christ in all the bed rooms and a picture of the temple in our living room. We know have a goal of Temple Marriage. I can say the Lord loves me and I love him, I'm so greatful for my family, I'm greatful for knowledge and truth. I'm greatful I had the desire for it. I'm so blessed that I have found it. The Lord is good, He is forever forgiving and forever loving. I'm striving to go to church every sunday with my family and I love looking down at my hudband as he holds our baby and I put my arm around my daughters shoulders feeing peace and love.
