Hi I'm Lauren Elise

I love to laugh, sing, and fall asleep to movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time Videographer & web development and marketing specialist. I love learning, and plan to never stop! I love spending meaningful time with family and friends. I love to laugh and find myself laughing often. I believe laughter is the best medicine. The perfect night to me would be full of laughter and adventures. I love music. I would rather be outdoors than inside. I would rather have ice cream than hot chocolate. I love surprises. Life is special to me, and I treasure every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel, and the message found therein, is the only thing that will make me eternally happy in life. I grew up in the church, with two loving, incredible parents, but that's not the only reason why I'm a Mormon...and obviously, like anyone, I had to know for myself if it was true. I often thought and felt the need to know things for myself, not just because I was told; How could I know if it is true because I haven't experienced anything else? Eventually, I asked my Father in Heaven for myself. I received my personal answer, and I know that this church and this gospel is true. My faith will never cease. I feel blessed and honored to be born and raised in the thing that has and will forever bless my life. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I know that it's true. To me, the Book of Mormon is the most remarkable book in the world from any doctrinal, historical, or philosophical point of view. The influence that it has in my life today is more impregnable than ever. I know it, and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

As a returned missionary from the England Birmingham Mission, I live my faith by continuing to share the good news with everyone that I know in every way that I can. Because that's exactly what my faith is all about, good news. I also live my faith by striving to be obedient to all of God's commandments. It is easy to get caught up in the mundane of day to day living, but I do my best to follow the promptings of the Spirit to know how I can best be of service to everyone around me, especially my family.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Lauren Elise
A testimony is a conviction, knowledge, or belief in a truth. A testimony begins with pure belief. For example, the belief that God really is our Heavenly Father, and that He loves us. A testimony is a spiritual witness of these very truths. Show more Show less
