Hi I'm Shawn

I am from a small farming community in southeastern Idaho, I am a farmer and a rancher, I love sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I strongly believe that the outdoors are the best place on earth! I grew up on a ranch in Southeastern Idaho. Here I learned to work hard, how to work with others, and how to do it right the first time in order to save time. I was raised in a loving environment, one where I would rather hang with my family over my friends. My family relationship is beyond anything else, and it is the most important thing to me. We are so close, and this is because of my parents implementing the gospel into our lives. I also love to hunt, fish, ride horses, love the mountains, love to play the piano, and especially to play football and basketball!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a very amazing place. A place like none other on earth. Southeastern Idaho. Here I had no worry. Why? Because the communities were built upon the teachings of Christ. People here serve one another, love one another, and live the Gospel. I didn't see hypocrisy, as the world teaches man, that it is ok. I saw honest, hardworking people, striving to do what is required of them. I was raised in a very active Latter Day Saint family. Because of them, I have learned to make correct choices, or to follow the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. They have taught me to choose right over wrong, happiness over sorrow, and invited me to choose for myself, what our Heavenly Father asks us to do. I am a Mormon, because I have experienced for myself, the reality of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I have experimented upon the teachings of Christ, what I have been taught to do and be, and have received for myself an everlasting witness that what I have been taught all along is the truest, most pure doctrine, the teachings, Christ himself taught. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

I am living and showing my faith daily, as I try to serve those around me to my full capacity. I also served as a full-time missionary for two years for the Church in the Michigan Detroit Mission. It is the greatest thing I have ever done, as I have strengthened my testimony and knowledge of my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. It is the greatest feeling to be able to find and teach someone more about the restored gospel, and to see them find, receive, and live the gospel, see all the blessings that come from it, and be so happy. It is amazing. I know this experience has changed my life for the better.
