Hi I'm Morgan

I'm from Tennessee. I love music. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There's a country music song for anything and everything about life. Whether it's for a joyous occasion or a sad circumstance, I can find a line of a song that tells about my life. And then there is the beauty and power of a hymn of praise to God and my Savior Jesus Christ. When I want to thank Him, I turn to a hymn. When I need to feel His comforting arm, I turn to a hymn. I love to play basketball and volleyball. Board games and card games are great but playing any game brings out a slightly competitive spirit. I grew up with one sister and six brothers, and I learned a lot from each of them. My dad and mom have always been great teachers and examples to me. I love my family tremendously. I studied elementary education for three years and then made the best decision of my life to leave school behind and go out to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my understanding of God's holy word. I know for myself that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are from Him. I know that He called Joseph Smith to be a prophet to lead and guide His children, just as He has always done. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever. He lead the children of Israel through the prophet Moses and He leads us today through the prophet Thomas S. Monson. I am a Mormon because I know that families can be together forever, and being a member has taught me how that can be done. There is no greater joy than knowing that to have the gift of eternal life means to be with God AND my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because I have found great strength and comfort knowing that I can turn to God in prayer and receive peace of mind, hope and courage for myself. I know that God answers prayers and He is an active part of my life. He will never leave my side. I am a Mormon because of have felt of the sweetness and joy of forgiveness that comes through my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving a full time mission. This gives me the opportunity to teach others about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and how following Him brings peace and hope into life. It also gives me the chance to serve so many people in so many different ways. When I am not a missionary, I love to serve the people in my own community. I volunteer and serve with many different groups and organizations. I love being a mentor and helping with camps, both faith-building camps and athletic camps. I have been asked and enjoy playing the piano at church for the congregation and for the children's classes. I have spent time helping to plan events and activities to strengthen the faith of young single adults and create opportunities for fellowship and encouragement. How I live my faith is not just what I do, because my faith is who I am.
