Hi I'm Skyler

I love my family. I'm a grease monkey. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Northern Utah. I went to a technical college for diesel mechanics. Going fast is in my blood, anything to do with motors and wheels and I'm there. During the summers you'll find me at the sand dunes on my quad, in the winter boarding on the slopes, and in the spring and fall both. I just love being outside with family and friends having a good time. I love my family with all of my heart and am so greatful for all the wonderful opportunities and example they've been to me in my life. I hope to one day be able to start my own family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with my parents members of the church, but never going. I've always felt very close with God, but never attended church. When I was about 14 years old one of my good friends invited me to church. I was reluctant, but went. I started attending church more regularly and came to know on my own through prayer that what I was learning there was true. As I learned and prayed and lived what I was taught, the Holy Ghost witnessed to me more powerfully than any physical evidence could that I had found the truth and was where the Lord wanted me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living as close to Christ's example as possible. I'm so grateful for His Atoning sacrifice and for the opportunity I have to repent when I make mistakes and to have the Savior's help in my learning process. We all have the chance to repent in this life and to be strengthened by the Savior to help us become so much more than we ever could on our own. I am serving a full time mission now in the Louisiana, Baton Rouge mission and loving every minute of it. We go out everyday and invite all we can to come closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so greatful for this opportunity because of the blessings I've seen come into others lives and the blessings I've seen in my own.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Absolutely everything around me. The majesty and beauty of all of God's creation, life itself and beyond that just they way that life works. The people that we meet in our lives in the most unexpected situations who have such great impacts upon us. I've felt such an amazing peace and happiness that comes from living the commandments of God, why else would they make make anyone feel so good by living them if God wasn't there? Show more Show less
