Hi I'm Mele

I'm a full time servant of the Lord! I take pride in my religion... my family... and my heritage, Malie Tonga! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What's good everybody?!? Hi, my name is Mele and I was born of goodly parents in the famous Salt Lake City, UT. I have a huge family but no matter where we are in the world we always stay connected. I am full blooded tongan and love my heritage and the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. I was going to school to be a dental hygeneist but received a call from the Lord that I needed to serve a mission so that is where I am currently, serving a full time mission in the Detroit, Michigan mission! I've had my ups and downs but then again who doesn't? One thing that is constant in my life other than change is the love and support of my family, and of course the infinite love of our Savior and our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and one of the things my mama did best was teach us kids the Gospel and what was expected of us. I haven't always been a faithful member my whole life, there was a time that I rebelled and did what I wanted and paid no mind to the teachings that had been embedded in my mind but as I came to a point where things were not going too good that is when I reached for my Heavenly Father and of course He was there to bring me back to the light. One of the best things that I have been able to see throughout my life with all the ups and downs is that no matter what "we cannot sink lower than the arms of the Atonement can reach, if we are willing to repent." I know that we all go through trials in our lives but if we truly know our Heavenly Father and know that He has prepared a way for us to return back to His presence through our Savior Jesus Christ than we can be of good cheer and live the gospel the way it was intended for us. I am a Mormon because I choose to be and I know what I believe to be true.

How I live my faith

I make alot of mistakes but that is what is so awesome about the gospel of Jesus Christ, it helps us become better than we could ever be by ourselves. I live day by day and try to be kind and loving to all those I come across. I am currently living my faith by serving a mission here in Michigan. I am not perfect but each day I have learned that if you just strive to come closer to Christ you will get there one day at a time. Being here on the mission I have learned that we have what we call spiritual C.P.R, Church, Pray daily, Read scriptures and these 3 things are what keeps our spirits alive. So just as CPR is to keep us alive physically we need our spiritual CPR to keep our spirits alive and growing!
