Hi I'm Gary

I played college football. I speak Russian. I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a degree in biology. I'm currently attending pharmacy school. I played college football for a year. I also love basketball and snowboarding. I love to cook and try new recipes. I was a missionary in Eastern Europe where I learned Russian. I also speak a little bit of French. I enjoy travelling and creating memorable experiences and I hope to have a family to do that with in the future. Overall I'm just trying to enjoy life every step of the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the strength that my faith provides me every day. I feel that this is the full gospel of Jesus Christ. The more I study, the more everything about this church makes sense to me. And even when there is a gap in my understanding, I know that I can pray to God and receive personal revelation in answer to my questions. He hasn't failed me yet, and I have faith that He never will. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, first and foremost, by serving those around me. Christ was always serving others and I know that the best way for me to profess my faith in Him is to follow his example. One way that I serve within the Church is by teaching a class on Sundays. The class is made up of other adult members of the Mormon Church. It is a great forum for us to discuss our faith and beliefs and learn from each other. Every time I teach, I feel the strengthened, and I hope that in some small way my service helps to strengthen others in the class. I also look for opportunities to serve in the community. When I was younger I participated in Boy Scouts and earned the Eagle rank by completing a service project in my local community. Since then, I have tried to continue to find ways to serve those around me who are in need. I am in pharmacy school and one of the reasons I chose that field was that I feel it provides opportunities to help ease the pain of those who are suffering. Service is one of the key principles of my life that helps me to live my faith.
