Hi I'm Elder Rivas

This is Elder Rivas. Serving as a Missionary in Philippines Tacloban Mission.

About Me

I'm 21 years old, graduate of bachelor's degree of nursing. Currently a Registered Nurse. I think I'm fun to be with, I'm a happy person. I hope to become a surgeon someday. I also love doing things with the computer and other gadgets. I play volleyball and tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm born with the covenant. But I am a Mormon because I believe in the book of mormon, I believe in Prophet Joseph Smith, and that we also have a living prophet today, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints is the only true church.

How I live my faith

I'm now active. I go to church every Sunday (as much as possible). When I'm vacant, I work with the missionaries in sharing the Gospel to those who are in need. I'm also enrolled in the Church Educational System. When available, I attend church and single adult activities, and home evenings.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Elder Rivas
The Holy Bible is a word of God. Mormons do believe that it is true as it is one of the four standard books of the church. God has revealed a lot of things then and now. The Bible manifests the truthfulness of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
