Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved to Georgia with my husband and young daughter a little over seven years ago. My husband's job kept him away from home every week and we wanted to change that. We really love Georgia even though we do miss our family but we go and visit at least once a year. I am a stay at home mom and keep very busy taking care of the house and my small family. I worked as a cosmetologist for almost 20 years but I don't miss it. I retired when we moved here and I love being home.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were LDS but my family wasn't active in the church. My siblings and I would attend primary part time when we were young and we were each baptized when we were 8 years old. It wasn't until I was in my late teens and association with quite a few people of other faiths that I realized what I truly believed. There were so many things about those other faiths that didn't make sense to me. The things that were believed and being taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints just fit so much of what I truly believed. Still, it wasn't until I was almost 40 years old that I had a real testament to the truth of this gospel. It was a burning in my heart so strong that I couldn't dare deny it and I knew I wanted to be part of it.

How I live my faith

I am a firm believer that you need to love God with all your heart, mind and soul and I try to be a good person to my fellow man. I strive to be a good friend and neighbor and to help as much as I can. I taught Primary for several years and I am currently a 'visiting teacher' which means that I have certain women on my list that I visit with regularly to see if I can help them in any way or just to talk with them.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kim
Although we respect and admire Joseph Smith we only worship God, our Heavenly Father through our savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
