Hi I'm Larry

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love all things I.T. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Orange, California but grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I have lived in Central Texas for over a decade. I am a self-professed geek and love all things technology. I would love to be able to commute to work everyday by flying car or better yet helicopter. I served 4 years in the U.S. Army as an OH58D crew chief. I love my country and I am proud to have served in the military. The best part of my life is my family. I am a father of 6 and I have been married to my wonderful wife for almost 21 years. I am an avid reader and I especially enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy playing paintball and riding a bike but I struggle with scheduling everything into a long work day and a full family schedule.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint because I believe in the power of prayer and I believe that God answers prayers today. When I prayed about this church, I felt the confirming answer of the Holy Ghost that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I am especially grateful that we are taught that our families can last forever. I want to be with my family for all eternity. Just like everyone else in this world, I am not perfect. I am grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus made so that I can be forgiven of my sins. I know that Jesus is our Savior and that we must accept him to be able to apply his sacrifice in our lives.

How I live my faith

We follow Christ's teaching to look after his sheep. I serve in the church as a secretary for one of the organizations. We look after the members of the church by visiting each member's home often. It is an opportunity to share the gospel with each other and to assist each other with our challenges. We are encouraged to volunteer in our communities. Our church sponsor troops of Boy Scouts all over the United States and I have had the opportunity to work with the Scouts in all kinds of community service projects.
