Hi I'm Wade

I am a family man, who knows how to work hard, have fun and dream big. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live on the awesome Sunshine Coast with my beautiful wife and son. I grew up on a farm till I was 10 then moved to the beach! 13yrs later I'm still learning to surf... My wife is better at surfing than me which is sometimes a little embarrassing. I love being outside, at the beach, skateboarding, dirt bike riding, whatever crazy adventures we can find on a saturday with friends and family. I am an electrician by trade but am returning to study, to pursue a career in the business world. I love to wear suits, but deep down love getting my hands dirty. I lived in New Zealand for 2 years as a missionary, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and have become a frequent visitor over the ditch since coming home. The last year and a half of my life have been the best yet, being married and becoming a Dad! I want to have a big family and raise some great kids who will do great things for others.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents probably took me to church the first week I was born, and I've just never stopped going. When I was a teenager though I started to really experience Jesus Christ in my life and came to know that he was a real person and more importantly my savior, not just a story I'd always been told. I know he lives and will help anyone that will let him. A few years later I had a powerful experience that told me deeply that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was God's church with the fullness of his teachings and power. Heavenly Father still hear's my prayers and blesses my family everyday, with all we have.

How I live my faith

I am a youth leader in my area, which means I'm responsible to help teach, mentor and organise activities for all the young men aged from 12 to 18. It's tons of fun, and a great priveledge to help the upcoming members of the community and country. We'll talk about the Gospel on Sunday, play sport during the week, and try to help those in the church or in our neighborhood when we can. It's great to see the boys grow and develop into men. I am also apart of a leadership council that helps support the church members in our area, and ensure everyone's needs are met as best we can. Its wonderful being a part of an organisation where everyone looks out for eachother.
