Hi I'm Russ

I sell computer software. I love my wife and children. Enjoy reading and staying physically active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I definitely enjoy my life. I am very grateful to be married to a very wonderful wife and we have 4 unique children that keep us on our toes. Though my job is very demanding, in my limited spare time I enjoy reading (the scriptures, historical information, etc), playing whatever sport is in season, and serving others in our church.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a few reasons. First, I find peace and happiness through the teachings of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other modern day prophets. Even when life is hectic, difficult, and even sometimes painful, I gain perspective and peace through prophetic teachings and the Holy Spirit. Second, though I'm far from perfect, I strongly feel that the path I'm pursuing is in alignment with what God wants me to do. I know God's communication through the Holy Spirit is bringing me closer to Christ on a consistent basis. Third, the Holy Spirit has communicated to me that Joseph Smith was chosen as a prophet by God and Jesus Christ, that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the word of God, and that God lives and He loves me.

How I live my faith

Though I often fall short, I try my best to have my faith and values be aligned with how I live my life each day. I gain great strength from regularly reading scriptures and praying (individually and as a family). I love serving others in my local congregation each week and attending weekly church meetings. Our family learns from and feel great strength from others who have similar spiritual goals as me and my family. I have the opportunity to be in a leadership position in my local congregation where I'm blessed to see many acts of service that members of our church give within and without the church. I see this service strengthen those being served and those who are serving. All these things bring me significant fulfillment in my life.
