Hi I'm Rachel

I have lived in Arizona most of my life. I am married to a wonderful man, and we are expecting our first child. and I am a Mormon

About Me

At age 6 I began dancing and I have loved it my entire life. I started off by doing ballet and soon added tap, clogging, gymnastics and jazz. At age 12, I decided to just focus on pointe ballet. I also began cheer at my Jr. High and continued into High school. Unfortunately, I discovered at the end of my sophomore year that I had developed a double stress fracture in my spine and had to quit what I loved doing most. This is when I took my trust in the Lord and tried to discover new talents. I began to tutor younger children after school in subjects they were struggling in. This is how i discovered Link Crew, the program at school that now takes up most of my time! Now, I'm about to graduate High School and can't believe I have to grow up and start making decisions that will affect the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Until the age of 6, my family wasn't too involved in the church. My mother grew up a member, but it wasn't until I was 6 that my father was baptized into this church. Sense then, my family has been a big part in my ward. I participated in activity days and young womans. I remembering having questions of the truth of our church from a young age. It wouldn't be until my freshman year of high school until I would really gain a testimony of my savior Jesus Christ and have my questions answered. It was mostly because of seminary. That year we were studying the New Testament and I was going through an extremely hard time with my family and friends. I turned to Christ and finally started to learn of His love that He had for me. Sense than, my testimony has been strengthened in countless ways and I have grown closer to my Savior every day.

How I live my faith

I love participating in our youth activities. Just recently, I was able to help package food. This food will be given to food banks and will help feed about ten thousand people. We do activities similar to this at least twice a year. I believe these project show our love for our fellow men and show how we are trying to become more charitable like our Savior Jesus Christ. I also enjoy showing my faith through my daily actions. I live what we teach and try to set an example to my friends and younger siblings through my honesty and love for others.
