Hi I'm Roxanne

My family calls me Rock or Rocky because I love rock hounding. I love Mexican food with Coca-Cola and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm new-ishly divorced and trying to get back into the singles scene with church and friends. I don't have any kids so I'm enjoying this time to spoil my nieces and nephews that live near me. :-)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but as an individual you must always know for yourself. I always knew it was true, even at 8 years old. But I wanted a stronger testimony so one night at 16 years old, I was reading in my scriptures and finally decided to ask, to really fervently ask my Heavenly Father if the church was true and since that night my testimony has only grown stronger.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best. I make mistakes plenty, I wish I lived my faith better but I am working on it. I am my worst critic as we all are. I always try to keep God close by praying in my car in the mornings (I am sooo not a morning person) and getting on my knees at night. I try and read at least a few verses of scripture each night. I believe in both the King James version of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I think of them as history books. The Bible are from those in ancient times of the eastern hemisphere of the world and the Book of Mormon are from those on the Western hemisphere of the world or the Americas. In all my life, what I love most? Is that it doesn't stop there, we believe in modern day revelation as well with the Doctrine and Covenants and to know that we have modern day revelation? It's AWESOME! What I want to do is start journaling again. I love to go back and read what I wrote from junior high and high school etc. Especially since I have a hard time remembering things, it is so beneficial to you and your family to keep a journal, to me that's what the scriptures are. Journals of our ancient ancestors who were apostles and told of events that occurred and the coming of the Savior, his birth and death and resurrection. I love it.
