Hi I'm Katherine

My family means the world to me. I am serving a full-time mission in Norway. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree this last June and reported to the Missionary Training Center on October 15th, 2014. I am now serving a full-time proselyting mission in Norway! I enjoy reading, watching movies, and other leisurely activities. I also enjoy being outdoors and spending time in nature, but I especially love sharing what I know about my Savior with others! It is so rewarding to share what you love with people you love. The most important thing to me in my life is my family. I treasure spending time with those I love more than anything else and those relationships are extremely precious to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings me peace and happiness and I know that living what I am taught through the church will prepare me to be able to one day return to the presence of my Father in Heaven. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I have throughout my life felt continued assurance that this is the church that Christ established, brought to the earth once more in these latter days. I have faced some great struggles in my life. In those times I have found myself pleading with my Father for comfort and help to bear my trials and I have truly felt his love for me and his strengthening me in all that I have been asked to bear. I know that I can't handle the struggles and confusion that this life brings without the help of my Father in Heaven. I need to be worthy of the presence of the spirit in my life. I maintain that worthiness the best that I can through hearkening to the teachings of the prophets and the commandments that we are taught in this church. I make mistakes, we all do, but I know that if I trust in my Savior and allow him to help me bear my burdens, if I repent and let him take those mistakes away from me through his atonement, and if I work continually to improve, that I can become more perfected and I can eventually prove myself worthy to return to my Father. That brings me such purpose and peace. This life has meaning, we are here to have experiences that will prepare us to return to our Father if we prove ourselves worthy. I can do it, you can do it. But we need the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives to guide us there and offer the necessary ordinances and guidance. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church on the earth today. I bear testimony of that.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full-time missionary in Norway, teaching the people of Norway about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so happy to have the opportunity to share the knowledge that I have in my life with others. This gospel has brought me such profound joy in my life and I know that it will bless the life of anyone who is earnestly seeking truth. As a missionary, my calling is to love others. I have left my family and friends and my everyday life for a year and a half so that I might help others to come unto Christ and have peace in their lives. Everyone has struggles and worries in their lives, and I know that a knowledge of Jesus Christ's atonement and Heavenly Father's plan for us can bless you and help you to feel peace. Your Father in Heaven wants so badly to bless you. Let him in. If you want to know more about what we believe, ask the missionaries! We love to share the joyous knowledge that we have with others.
